We had to switch to capsules for my son because the dosage system was too hard on the drops. I wish the dropper had markers! Our neurologist recommended Everyday Advanced. Our son is thriving now and completely seizure free.

Love my cw everyday I have been able to get off ninity mg of oxie and r so happy just love my cbd oil. Started using CW everyday plus 1 month ago. It helps so much with my pain and no side effects. I am down to 1 Norco a day and hope to be off completely soon. It is not a miracle. I still have some pain but it is much more manageable now. I have tried 3 different brands and find CW to be the most effective. Still well worth it to have my pain better managed than with opioids and not dealing with constipation and other bad side effects.

It does have a accumulating effect so things are improving more each day. Thinking about trying the cream for target area pains. I use Voltaren gel now but wondering if the hemp cream would be better? I also suffered with a bad back and had surgery. Using the CW Everyday Advanced help me wean off every single med I was on for pain management after my surgery. I had no addiction issues or withdrawal symptoms by using the CW. It also helps me during the day time with anxiety and cramps in my one leg.

At nite, I use Lazarus as the terpenes really help me sleep. I gave 2 bottles of CW for friends to try one has MS, the other has a son with cerebral palsy because I was so happy with the response I have had. Overall, I will still use the CW daily, and sometimes I add a few drops of Lazarus with it when I need to feel more relaxed.

In the last few years I went through cancer, and, because of a heart defect had open heart surgery. But the real pain came from Lyme Disease 8 years ago. Living in pain made me depressed and made me feel hopeless.

Plus, and I hate to say it, many companies tell you that the oil cures everything. This I went through during cancer treatment; people bringing me things that would cure me of every possible illness which made me not trust them. But a friend I did trust told me about this brand. It has helped me so much! Never believed this could happen in my life again.

The pain relief I have received from fibro, migraines and autoimmune pains has been incredible. I was chronic for 5 years with no relief from any pain clinic or drs office. I will continue to carry and use. My doctor ordered Norco for me. I was having auto immune issues and injury that caused me to be miserable, horrible pain, and unable to sleep. The pharmacist recommended this instead. I did not want pain killers. I got the capsules. I notice that on days that were severe pain, headache, muscles, spasming, nerves twitching and miserable dark thoughts dominating, I started with the 15 mg and just forgot to take the next dose.

I will near blacking out from pain and only thinking of pain and managing it and the CW takes that away. I stop thinking how bad I feel and get distracted and totally forget I needed a second pill.

The pain eases, muscles calm, and depression and anxiety are softened. My primary discomforts are due to: Graves disease, fibromyalgia, arthritis, chronic migraine, and a fall hyper extending an ankle and it froze. I now take 15 mg capsule a day on a regular basis. I increase if if needed. They come in 15mg and 30mg. I recommended it to a friend with nagging shoulder bursitis who had just installed 2 overhead ceiling fans.

He was super uncomfortable and stiffening up. I gave him 3. He took 1 and was going to take the second in a couple hours. That is the beauty of it, you stop thinking of pain or feeling bad and move on. I tried another similar one and it did not feel similar to this.

For fibromyalgia, muscle spasms, headaches, depression, achiness, pain and the above I definitely recommend. I have been using CW on my six year old son for three months now. My son started Kindergarten this year and it was pure hell with his behavior. I watched the Weed documentary from Dr. Gupta before and it sounded too good to be true. Well let me tell you what a difference it has made.

That day went on.. I had to gradually increase his dose. We are at three months and up to the mg 1 dropper every morning. He takes only smarty pants vitamins and gets 5mg of melatonin at night to sleep. I am in love with this product. Thank you for saving my sanity and my son from having to be medicated with stimulants. I am so grateful. I literally love this.. I use CW Advanced for pain, inflammation and muscle spasms from total joint replacement of my jaw joints.

I am almost completely off opiates and muscle relaxers, sleeping like a baby and feeling like my old self being off opiates. He has been able to maintain 0. I have used CW, exclusively, for the past 5 months for incredible pain from MS. My pain was a on the pain scale and unbearable.

Yes, I used pain meds, but I was so afraid that, at any time, my physician would stop prescribing them. CW has far exceeded my hopes! I believe that this is the brand for me. I would recommend CW to everyone who is having chronic pain. It has been a godsend to me. Thank you so very, very much!!! I have been using the CBD oil balm extra strength since the middle of August. I rarely have to take a tramadol for pain anymore. I have degenerative disc disease and 2 ruptured discs in my middle back.

I also have arthritis all over my body. This is like a miracle for me. Thank God for CBD! I have used CW Advanced for approximately 4 months. The first thing I noticed was a relaxed but not sleepy feeling. I suffer from degenerative disc disease, scoliosis and some arthritis. After about a week I noticed that my pain was considerably less but certainly not gone.

I was able to move more freely with very little discomfort. Before I could barely get out of bed. Four months down the line I have many pain free days at a time and when I do have it seems more like background pain nothing that anyone else might have at I find the dosing to be easy with the large bottle. I got a syringe from the drugstore and can measure very accurately my dose. I highly recommend CW Advanced to anyone with significant pain.

I have been using CW for 4 months. I tried 2 other brands but CW is my go to for Fibromyalgia, and general multi inflammation issues, including post surgical nerve pain. I take 50 to 60 mg twice a day, sometimes an half dose in afternoon.

I have fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, degenerative spine post nerve ablations and lumbar shots. I have had multiple fractures of my wrist and both ankles. I was on opioids for pain, cymbalta for fibromyalgia, Celebrex and injections for bone health. I am off of opioids and the dose of cymbalta was cut in half. I only take Celebrex prn. CW CBD saved me. Within several weeks, I felt significantly better than I had for several years. I am also a medical marijuana user.

I take CW oil during the day. I also carry a CBD vape pen in the car. Finished the review only to see this is the I just started my second largest size bottle of CW Everyday Advanced. I helps wiith healing process pain from my surgery last year due to uterine cancer.

I agree that the dosage system is very difficult. I wonder if I should have started lower. Here, they found that four out of eight CBD-treated patients evidenced significant improvement in their condition, whereas only one patient improved in the placebo group.

Similarly, a placebo-controlled, parallel-group study among 24 treatment-naive social anxiety disorder patients showed that CBD mg significantly reduced anxiety, cognitive impairment, and discomfort in speech performance, in response to a simulation public speaking test [ 63 ].

Preliminary data from a double-blind, randomized trial of 42 patients with acute schizophrenia revealed that CBD mg and amisulpride equally reduced psychotic symptoms after four weeks of treatment [ 64 ]. However, a placebo-controlled case-series did not find CBD to be effective among three treatment-resistant schizophrenia patients over four weeks [ 65 ]. Another placebo-controlled case-series by the same authors did not find a significant benefit of CBD for two bipolar mania patients after about four weeks of treatment [ 66 ].

Finally, a parallel-group among 28 schizophrenia patients that individuals who were treated with the low dose of CBD mg and placebo improved significantly more on the Stroop Color Word Test over two experimental sessions, relative to those treated with the high dose of CBD mg [ 67 ].

No positive trends in efficacy e. Both of these immunomodulators have been linked with disease progression in MS.

The authors noted no evidence for a distinction between the treatments in efficacy e. Finally, no significant differences were noted on the NRS memory or concentration subscores, or on the QLQ-C30 cognitive functioning subscore [ 73 ]. In addition, a crossover trial that treated 15 MS patients with a 1: However, both treatments significantly decreased pain ratings on an point Box Scale and neither treatment significantly decreased pain on the Pain Disability Index.

Finally, both treatments equally improved sleep quality. Experimental studies suggest that high-dose CBD may decrease anxiety and increase mental sedation in healthy individuals. Clinical trials suggest the high-dose CBD may be useful for the treatment of social anxiety disorder, and possibly, insomnia and epilepsy. The anxiolytic effect associated with CBD may be the result of its 5-HT 1A agonism, which has been evidenced in a number of behavioral studies [ 78 , 79 , 80 , 81 ].

Paradoxically, some animal studies have found that the dose-response of CBD follows an inverted U shape, leading to an anxiogenic effect through its agonism of TRPV 1—2 receptors which are believed to be responsible for detection and regulation of body temperature, and thermal nociception [ 82 ].

Consequently, it is yet unclear whether there is a role for inhibition of endocannabinoid catabolic enzymes in the anxiolytic effects of CBD. However, both studies administered low doses of CBD 2. The same group later demonstrated that the synthetic CBD derivative—HU—exerted more potent effects in the same direction [ 91 ]. More recently, there is evidence that cannabidiol derivative, O, reduced movement-evoked firing of nociceptive C fibres in a rat model of acute inflammatory joint pain [ 92 ].

As a whole, these data indicate that CBD and its analogues may be beneficial for pain resulting from inflammation, however, human studies on this topic are lacking. The strength of the antiepileptic effects of CBD may be difficult to judge clinically because of its potent antagonism of multiple CYP isoenzymes, potentially reducing plasma levels of concomitant anticonvulsants.

Preclinical data has indicated that CBD displays antiepileptiform and antiseizure properties in vitro and in vivo CBD may possess antiepileptic properties via different mechanisms. For instance, there is evidence that CBD can block low-voltage-activated T-type Ca 2 channels, and increase the activity of inhibitory glycine receptors [ 33 , 34 ].

More recently, Jones et al. The antiepileptic effects associated with CBD were suggested to be due a potentially CB 1 independent mechanism because CBD acted with only low affinity at CB 1 receptor and displayed no agonist activity in [ 35 S]guanosine 5'- O - 3-thio -triphosphate assays in cortical membranes.

Despite its putative benefits for social anxiety disorder, insomnia and epilepsy studies suggest that high-dose CBD — mg may increase mental sedation in normal individuals and aggravate cognitive deficits in schizophrenia—without altering physical sedation [ 42 , 62 , 67 ]. However, the treatments were not significantly different from placebo on digit symbol substitution, choice reaction, sustained attention, six-letter memory recall, digit memory recall.

Moreover, Karniol et al. On the other hand, Dalton et al. Current evidence is equivocal regarding a potential antipsychotic effect of CBD. For example, Zuardi et al. Likewise, the CB 1 antagonist, SR, was ineffective for the treatment of positive or negative symptoms in schizophrenia [ 94 ].

In another study, oral CBD mg enhanced the psychomotor activating effects of intravenous ketamine, without significantly altering ketamine-induced psychiatric symptoms [ 47 ]. On the other hand, preliminary data from a four-week, randomized-controlled trial of CBD mg versus amisulpride mg for schizophrenia did not reveal any significant differences between the groups—suggesting that the former exerted an antipsychotic effect [ 64 ]. For example, Karniol et al. A dose-dependent interaction was also evidenced in the study by Ilan et al.

By contrast, Dalton et al. Another group found significantly greater MMN amplitude values at central electrodes following treatment with combined CBD 5. Finally, a study using nabilone 1 mg showed that the molecule significantly impaired binocular depth inversion an illusion of visual perception that provides a model of impaired perception during psychotic states and this effect was partially reversed by CBD mg [ 48 ].

By contrast, Nadulski et al. Nevertheless, the pharmacokinetic impact of CBD was small compared to other factors such as gender and body mass index. Indeed, Karniol et al. Some of the variability in results may be attributed to the fact that studies contained small sample sizes and measured multiple variables, leading to the possibility of a Type-I error s. Such an effect may be one reason why some studies found contradictory results using similar dose-ratios between the cannabinoids [ 51 , 55 ].

A balance between pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic factors may be responsible for the disparate findings, depending on the measure, route of administration and dose-ratio between the cannabinoids. Likewise, studies did not consistently observe benefits of CBD monotherapy in bipolar mania or schizophrenia patients.

Future studies should investigate clinical applications of high-dose oral CBD for disorders such as anxiety, neuropathic pain, inflammatory pain, multiple sclerosis, insomnia and epilepsy.

If CBD is not found to be beneficial in these trials, new more selective and more bioavailable molecules need to be developed in order to harness the full therapeutic potential of cannabinoid molecules. Currently, the most promising candidates are inhibitors of endocannabinoid catabolic enzymes e. National Center for Biotechnology Information , U.
